| Introduction | Well it sure is hard to sum up who I am in such a small space but I'll give you the condensed version. I am a transplanted Californian who has been in South Florida for ten years. I grew up in a small town at the base of the Santa Cruz mountains and other than the earthquakes I miss it quite a lot. I have been married almost two years to my best friend Henry. We are currently learning to golf (which is lots of fun and frustrating as heck all at the same time.) I love to cook and read and serve God. I am also proud to say I am a seven year breast cancer survivor. Being diagnosed with and beating cancer is both the best and worst experience of my life. Although it was scary and painful, it also made me into the person I am today and changed the way I looked at the world. Now I am a strong, powerful woman who loves God more than anything. I hope to share my experiences with other women to not only show them how important it is to have annual screenings and exams but also to share the good news that a diagnosis of breast cancer isn't a death sentence. It is just the beginning of a journey that God has chosen us to take. I am honored to be on this journey..... |
