Introduction Once upon a time, when I was 20, I saw "How to Make and American Quilt." I didn't really think much of the movie but I loved the idea of quilting. Right away I started at it, trying to teach myself how to do it from reading books and quilt magazines. A couple years later I ended up getting married and then we started a family. I never really went back to quilting. Fast forward 18 years, and our family moved from California to Virginia. Finding yourself in a new place is exciting, but with no friends at first there is a lot of down time. I decided I wanted to get back to quilting. So here I am almost a year later and still loving this form of creativity.
