Introduction	My name is Connor, and if you don't know me personally, then I'm almost certainly not important or interesting enough for you to spend any more time reading this blog than you have already. if you do know me, and happen to be either an American friend, family member, or my wonderful and perhaps overly anxious mother, then feel free to tell me that you read my posts, regardless of whether or not you did. I won't press the issue. I'm setting up this blog to update anybody who might be interested about my exploits in the exotic Levant. Follow along with me as I do fun and exciting things, like discover that 2 years of obscenely expensive education in Arabic at a private university have left me woefully unprepared to perform simple daily tasks, like ordering a cup of coffee, or asking where the bathroom is. oh, and I'm starting this blog with the best intentions, but I'll probably forget to post at all after the first 2 weeks.
