| Introduction | After three university degrees, 30 years in the mining industry, the stock exchange, and the corporate world, and enough of Johannesburg, I retired to this beautiful place. That didn't mean, however, that I stopped working. I now am chairman of the local ratepayers' association, an honorary conservation officer in the Drakensberg World Heritage Site, a mountain guide, and a writer of stuff. With my wife, we also run an exclusive accommodation business high in the mountains of the Champagne Valley. |
