| Introduction | At the age of 6, I believe, my mother took my great-grandmother and myself to see Evita at the Bristol Hippodrome, and I was entranced. Not by Lloyd-Webber's music, as Cats is his only accpetable work to me, but by the theatre in general. A few years later, my mother took me to see Chicago, and yes, I was very young to be seeing that sexy of a show. I drove her mad the whole way home by singing the songs verbatim, having seen and heard the show for the first time three hours prior. The stage is a massive part of my life, and whilst I have had some opportunity to tread the boards, my music-making has always taken priority. I'm a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, and started the blog during my first year at university. I play the trombone to put food on the table, and a large portion of that employment is in the theatre, playing in pits for amateur and professional productions, although I'd like a few more pro shows to come in when I'm ready! |
