Introduction	Ron is a Poltical Organizer who has been involved in the grassroots political community of Portland Oregon for many years. Ron was also a founding member of the Recovery Association Project (RAP). Ron has worked for Central City Concern as an Alcohol and Drug Intervention Specialist and as the Coordinator for the CCC West Portland One Stop Career Center. Ron subcribes to the political philosophy of Saul Alinsky and has completed National Organizer Training from the Industrial Areas Foundation- Ron has a strong commitment to building community organizings and capacity building among vulnerable populations, the poor, communities of faith and people of color. A powerful and dynamic public speaker who believes in the power of people coming together for purpose of reclaiming their full participation in democracy and building a better future for their families and community. Ron is currently on the Executive Board of the Washington DC based Faces and Voices of Recovery. “In order for people to create the changes in society that we desire, we must organize and build the power to make those changes.”
