Introduction I began working as a forest ecologist. After getting married I became a supervisory forester. As my children grew up we moved to town to give them access to better schools. My wife and I owned a health food business. We gave that up and I became a high school teacher. In addition to all of that, all my life I have written and taken nature photographs for fun and for profit. Obviously my main interest is in the outdoors. I have been retired for over twenty years, now. I lost my wife. My four wonderful children, two boys and two girls, have moved away on their own. I am now a great grandfather. I spend a lot of my time in the woods, out in nature, with friends when possible. I seem to be naturally happy most of the time.
