| Introduction | I live in a monastery in London in 1383 with about 80 brothers. I have to try to grow enough food to keep them all going. My best friends are Rufus the dog and Barnabas the cook. Being the late 1300s, it is usually wet and cold, meaning poor crops of grapes for wine or verjuice, but excellent for apples and pears. Being in a garden all day makes me very happy, even though it's hard work. I am beginning my blog in May, the best time of the year! |
