Introduction | Silver Sixpence In Her Shoe was started by me, Nicola, when I couldn't find any accessories I wanted for my own wedding day. I live and work in Manchester but have sent orders as farflung as Sydney Australia. I have a degree in fashion and textiles plus 10 years of buying experience behind me. Now I am lucky to be tying that up with a love of all things haberdashery and vintage in my own business. Tradition states that the bride should place a lucky silver sixpence in her left shoe to bring her a wealth of happiness throughout married life- I have my lovely friend Flo to thank for the name of the business, taken from the rhyme something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a silver sixpence in her shoe. |
Interests | Arts and crafts, cooking especially baking nice cakes, clothes, my friends, good films expecially Spanish language ones, travelling. |
