| Introduction | I began running after watching the Munich Olympic Games (1972) on television. My first races were with the school cross country team and later I began running local road races (10k, half marathon, etc). After a few years of shin/calf injuries I entered the Robin Hood marathon in 2005 looking for a new challenge. Didn't enjoy it much but after finishing it occurred to me that it wasn't so hard really and to push myself I needed a completely different challenge.
