Introduction	I live in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, about 30 miles south of the Canadian border, where I divide my time among a variety of pursuits, including teaching, writing, raising his my Orion, and spending as much time outside as possible with my wife, Jen. Where I work: I am Dean of Academics and Professor of Humanities at Sterling College in Craftsbury Common, Vermont. What I’m interested in: Exploring connections between the study of environmental literature and a passion for field-based teaching. I’m always looking for ways to enhance the student learning experience, whether this includes curriculum development, fieldwork, or appropriate technology. Outside of academe, I trail run, rock & ice climb, and bike to work in all kinds of weather.
