| Introduction | Taking a little detour on my life plans. I recently decided to pull out of my Internal Medicine residency in Ohio to start paying back my owed time to the AF, and I'll be doing this as a flight surgeon, at Kunsan AFB, South Korea. And instead of easing into this new profession, I decided to come to one of the premiere fighter bases in the world, where only the top of the top of the classes of fighter pilots get to come for a 12 month tour flying F-16's. Quite a difference from seeinng 65+ y/o in the office for HTN and CHF. The medicine is different, the military environment is basically new, and very intense, and the F-16's are pretty freaking cool! |
