Introduction	An Atlanta native, I lived in northern California in the sixties, worked in front of the camera in Europe in the seventies, and earned my living as a writer for twenty plus years. As a contemporary realist painter, I'm fascinated by the skin of the world, the bounce and skitter of light on textures, and the push and pull of shadows on form. Interests	dawn light, The New Yorker, writing, painters of the northern renaissance, comics Mutts and Overboard, roses, hydrangeas, lilies, naps, tomatoes with basil, I'm pro-spaniel, and a constant reader. I also pause frequently to admire my children and spouse
Favorite Movies	Treme, True blood, The Wire, Rome, Crash, Gladiator, Love Actually, Moulin Rouge, Bladerunner, Lord of the Rings, pretty much anything with subtitles.
Favorite Music	random singles that get stuck in my head, LaCrae, Osvaldo Golijov, Cuban, Celtic, a capella praise, country with a sense of humor, soundtrack of The Wire, Pride & Prejudice, Fourtet
