| Introduction | We are a networking campaign group - set up by residents, for residents across the boroughs. We were formed directly in response to London City Airport's application to expand flights to 120,000 per year and many residents not being consulted by LCA or Newham. Any resident affected by LCA activities/expansion is encouraged to contact Fight the Flights. Our aim is to block the expansion, and make sure that the communites affected are aware of, and have access to, the information to make an informed decision on whether to object to the application. The 'consultation' carried out by Newham has been a complete fiasco and many communities have been excluded - we want to address that. We believe that London City Airport are only interested in lining the pockets of their shareholders at ANY cost. They have purposely fed residents with inaccurate and misleading information, and have breached planning laws consistently for the past decade. |
