| Introduction | I love to make things better. I got the bug while still in college in Utah. I was working for a fledgling video production and distribution company and saw how small changes can drastically effect a company. It was also my first real business experience. After college I joined a CPA firm in Baltimore, MD. During my first year I laid low and learned the ropes of being an auditor (as much as anyone can in one year). The summer before my first anniversary I was invited to help with the implementation of the firm's selected electronic workpaper management software, ProSystem fx Engagement. I helped develop our use strategy and helped train everyone in the audit department. Since then my duties have continued to branch out. I continue to be heavily involved with ProSystem fx Engagement as I am the audit department's administrator. I've helped complete and maintain portions of the firm's intranet, study and document our standard audit methodology, implement project management software to enable better tracking of the audit department's progress, and develop add-ins for Microsoft Office. In addition to all this and my client work, I am part of the firm's quality control team. |
