| Interests | I'm interested the way our homes and surroundings represent who we are and our particular tastes; I love old homes filled with personal collections. I'm also interested in non-traditional spaces people might inhabit, like empty converted factories, churches, extra little homes, small pre-fab houses and the like. In the aesthetic sense, I'm inspired by the historical design and culture of France and Italy especially, and am a Francophile. I also like Scandinavian antiques; beautiful stationery and paper; calligraphy; finely sewn fabric, and anything well-made by hand. I love to cook and do it daily. My kitchen is where I most like to be. Rummaging through flea markets, salvage sales, stacks of fabric and second-hand bookstores are among my favorite things to do. |
