Introduction	I think I have reached middle age, but have done so kicking and screaming. I have the world's best husband, the world's best son, and 2 of the world's oddest dogs. I figure I have had a pretty good career teaching, and still enjoy that, but I have secret desires to be a pastry chef, an interior designer, a spa critic, and a blackberry grower. Well, maybe they aren't so secret. I am a self-trained foodie, and look for many opportunities to steal and copy things I find to be wonderful and amazing. I hope this blog can help me to start writing stuff down and trying to tie the many strings of my life together, in a peaceful and artful way.
