| Introduction | I have always loved to sketch, draw and paint, and I have done so almost as long as I can remember. I work in watercolor and acrylic (and an occasional oil). Though I have been painting for years, there is always something new to learn, from different techniques to different ways of interpreting the world around us. This process of discovery is never really over for me, as each day brings subjects to experience and capture in new ways. Sometimes this comes easily, and other times not. But I always enjoy taking a blank canvas and trying my best to create a good painting. Though I've lived all over the Midwest, I'm currently settled in the metro St. Louis area with my husband, teenage son, whichever of my two college-aged kids happen to be home, and my painting partner: an old yellow Lab. |
