Minorities overrepresentation in the CRJ System

Introduction	Hi, my names Mike and I attend California State University of Sacramento. I am a Criminal Justice undergrad student in my last semester and am excited to graduate after 16 years of schooling. Along with my studies I have participated as a full time athlete while holding an internship with the Public Utilities of California for the past 5 years. I have great interest in the Criminal Justice field and hope to find my way to a successful career in the upcoming future. Being a person of Mexican decent I have recently found interest in a specific topic of Overrepresentation of Minorities in the Criminal Justice System. With this topic I want to take a deeper look into the Criminal Justice System and see why Minorities tend to be overrepresented with the opportunities afford into today’s society. Whether the system has flaws that enable certain races to slip through the cracks of Justice.
