Wodehouse, Edward Gorey, Douglas Adams & Shel Silverstein everything; sci-fi/fantasy - Tolkien, Garth Nix's Sabriel series, the big HP, assorted Ursula Le Guin, Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman; sheer beauty and joy - Roald Dahl, Isabel Allende and Han Nolan; tie for the creepiest, tingliest books ever, both featuring lost children - Coraline by Neil Gaiman, and The Book of Lost Things by John Connelly
