| Introduction | I find myself saying, "Somebody needs a nap." all the time these days. Only half the time am I referring to my son. I grew up in Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota listening to Garrison Keillor talking about "Norwegian bachelor farmers" in smalltown Minnesota. At 28 years old, I met and married a Norwegian man (within a few months time) and this year we moved to Norway from North Carolina. So, at 30, I'm a new mom, an immigrant in a country where I don't (yet) speak the language, and re-evaluating my life's path (maybe that's a constant). I'm also seriously in love with my son- I love being a mom! And yes, W played into my decision to leave the States. I graduated from college with a BFA in Ceramic Sculpture. For various reasons I stopped making art for a long time. I am just now getting back into it. I'm also a certified yoga instructor. Woo-Hoo! Seriously. And oh yeah, we're expecting twins in March. |
