Do you believe that forks are evolved from spoons?
Forks and spoons are inherently different and have wildly counter functions. Forks are for meals with chunks, unable to be contained with mere spoons. Spoons are for "filler" meals like stew. When was the last time you saw someone eat a steak with a spoon? This quandary though illustrates why the spork is such a great invention.
