| Introduction | I was born and raised in the United Arab Emirates with Sri Lankan parents and immigrated to Canada in 2004 for a better quality of life. Poetry has been a healthy outlet for many of my life experiences and has helped me tremendously. Now I use it not only for therapeutic purposes, but for creative purposes as well.
