Introduction	I am a stay-at-home-mom, and cancer survivor. I maybe fighting metastatic breast cancer,but I am optimistic for a long life. I have chosen to stop working to stay home with our little boy, Parker. In addition we have two pet cockatiels and a dog. Patrick and I have been married since 2008. We feel very blessed to have such wonderful friends and families. Prior to staying home, I was a graduate student at the University of Iowa, working on my PhD in Immunology. I continued my research right up until I learned of my bone mets, afterwhich I decided to take some time off. Because I had met all the requirements for graduation, I was still granted my PhD degree in Dec 2012.
