About me

Introduction	I grew up in Grand Blanc, Michigan. I attended Michigan State University for both my undergraduate and graduate work in Speech-Language Pathology. I completed my master's degree in 2001. It took me a while to get through school due to health problems. I took 2 semesters off during my undergraduate years for diagnosis and treatment of IgA Nephropathy. I received a kidney transplant (THANKS DAD) in September of 1996. I took 2 years off between undergrad. and grad. school to work as a therapist assistant at a center for brain injury. I started graduate school in 1998. After graduate school, I moved the 'burbs of Chicago to start my first job as a speech-language pathologist for a contract agency. I was placed in both the public schools and a private school. I moved to Normal, Illinois after getting engaged in May of 2002. Tim and I were married in October of 2002. I started working for Unit 5 schools in August of 2002, where I currently work today at Prairieland Elementary School.
