| Introduction | Hi, My name is Donna. I am the proud owner of an Antique Home Boutique in Lucketts, VA. My shop is called "ON A WHIM" and it is my lifetime DREAM come true. I have planned and dreamed of this shop since I was 5 years old. This shop, my dream was the only goal I had set as a child, that I had not yet realized. So the year I was to turn 50, I made a decision, to just go for it. 2 months before my 50th birthday, I gave BIRTH to a lifetime DREAM and checked the last goal I had set as a child off my list. I love and nurture this dream, my shop as if it is a child needing daily care and attention. When you walk into my shop and look around it is truly like looking inside my head, a life time of plans and dreams put out for all the world to see. Each and every decorating idea, display,and the way the shop is set up was pre planned so many years ago.Even my pink and black polka-dots and the pink shutters were planned and filed in the deepest parts of my mind just waiting for the day I could use them. My shop is an ever changing artist pallet where I am able to decorate,design and express my creativity. Not A day goes by that I am not THANKFUL to be living my pink dream. |
