My husband and I spent 18 months serving a humanitarian mission in Chennai, India working with women and children cancer patients in a government hospital. I also taught English as a second language and provided training for Help Age India. While in India, my husband and I flew to Nepal and climbed to Mt. Everest Base Camp in Oct., 2001. Then, in Jan., 2009 we climbed to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro--19.340 feet!
