Introduction	In the year 2000 my husband and I tragically lost a baby, and my fertility, at the same time. Without fallopian tubes my options for a family became IVF or adoption. Not ready to give up my genetic link, we embarked down a long painful road of infertility. Two years and five In-Vitro attempts later we finally got the news that we had longed for. We were pregnant. Having transferred 4 embryos (two of which were presumed arrested) the thought of anything more than 2 babies never crossed our minds. We were floored when we were told that we had quadruplets coming. Two babies were in one sac (identical twins) and two others. After a very difficult high risk pregnancy, our babies were born at 27 weeks. Three boys, one girl. The largest weighed 2 lbs 6 oz and the smallest was 1 lb 11 oz. The biggest challenge of our lives had begun. After 16 long weeks in the NICU, they were all home and healthy. We thank God for them everyday.
