| Introduction | My whole life is focused on books, both as a consumer and in my work. First as a subject librarian at the University Library in Leiden, later as deputy curator. In that capacity, I was also involved in ancient oriental manuscripts, I studied these texts and was responsible for the purchase of that material.
Later on, I got into what is now called 'IT', but in the past we said 'Automation'. Before my pension I worked in the library of the Peace Palace trying to develop a digital library. |
