| Introduction | Field is an artist run, non-profit organisation, operating outside the established commercial ‘art market’ since 2008. Based in South East London, Field’s primary aim is to facilitate emerging artists by offering opportunities to create and exhibit work, and to establish mutually beneficial links with like-minded organisations and individuals. Field curate a monthly programme of exhibitions at the Field Project Space located in The Bun House, Peckham. They also organise larger off-site exhibitions and run an artist studio residency at The Bunker in Area 10, Peckham. Using these platforms Field actively encourage young artists to push existing ideas, either forward or in new directions, with the creative freedom to experiment. |
