Introduction Sean Dalton has been with Heritage Newspapers since March 15, 2006. He is a graduate of Madonna University in Livonia, where he studied journalism and public relations. While cutting his teeth at The Madonna Herald, he worked as an intern for Crain Communications, Inc. with Automotive News and its sister publications (Automotive News International, Automotive News Europe and Automotive Marketer). Afterwards, he interned with the UAW's public relations department based in its Detroit headquarters or "Solidarity House." Throughout the course of his professional career, he has also been involved in most of his school's or employer's web operations as a regular content contributor, editor or designer. Upon arriving at Heritage Newspapers, he worked for The News-Herald out of Southgate and covered the cities of Riverview, Trenton and Gibraltar. He has covered police beats, city beats, school beats and adopted a few regional beats, such as environmental issues, recreational boating and security matters with Special Weapons and Tactics officials, area emergency managers and other individuals and groups that interact with or are a part of the Department of Homeland Security.
