GenderFemale
OccupationNurse and Mommy
LocationLexington, Kentucky
IntroductionI am a married, stay-at-home "domestic engineer" with two beautiful girls (4 and 10) and a very busy hubby! I was a C.M.A. in my former life and worked in Family Practice, Pediatrics and Dermatology. I have always lived in Lexington and attended Dunbar High School then went to UK for a while and transfered to Fugazzi College to finish my nursing degree in 1996. I worked at the Lexington Clinic for almost ten years before deciding to stay at home with my second child...I love being at home for my girls but I also look forward to the day that I can go back to a job! I have attended Crossroads Church for 6 years and have taught in K-Town for two...last year with the 1st grade 11:15am class and then this year with Mrs. Beth in the 2nd/3rd grade girls class! I am so excited to have the chance to share my love for God with these kids...I believe that in the world today, they need Christ more than ever! And I believe that a stong church family and memories of their childhood Christian experiences are what will keep these youth in church or bring them back if they fall away. I want to be a part of that!
InterestsBelly Dance, Yoga, running, Reading, writing poetry/fiction, and my estrogen-flooded family!
Favorite moviesAnything in the 80's...who can't love Say Anything and St.Elmo's Fire!!! Old musicals and comedies...I don't like violence or gore in movies...I'm a wimp!!!
Favorite musicOMGoodness!!!!!ANYTHING with a beat!! I am so moved by music...my mother says that I was born with a sound track! I love to dance and I have (so far) not found anything I can't dance to! But, my favorites are Middle Eastern music (Reda Darwish, Nastasha Atlas, Eygptian mostly) and classic country music (I was raised on Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn)!! I confuse alot of people when they hear the music blaring from my mini-van...a mix of tabla drums and whining country crooners!
Favorite booksOK, again, there isn't much that I don't like to read. I really love a great historical fiction but everything from poetry to biographies will suck me in! I literally can't sleep at night unless I read for a while before laying down...I go nuts with out a book on my nightstand!
