| Introduction | Miss Boogie's 2nd Mom (Linda Thornburg) is an award-winning filmmaker and playwright. Her feature film adaptation of May Sarton's novel, "Mrs. Stevens Hears the Mermaids Singing," is the winner of numerous Audience Best Awards from festivals around the world. “Mrs. Stevens,” has been called, “The Merchant-Ivory of lesbian films.” Her play, “Leap of Faith,” is the oh-so-chaste story of two women who live in a bed. It asks and answers the question, “We do everything here—eat, dance, work, swim, why?” She is currently working on a script about growing up “Queer and clueless in Indiana in the 50s and 60s.” She is also the author/illustrator of a children's book, "The Cat Doesn't Travel the Usual Path."
