| Introduction | I was born and raised in Long Beach, CA into a family of swimmers. As as child I tagged along with my dad to his water polo games and as a teenager I helped out my mother teaching swimming lessons. Following my sister's footsteps I swam on our high school team and through the encouragement of a friend and my dad, I played water polo (or at least watched a lot of water polo from the bench). Since then I have met wonderful people that share a love for swimming and take advantage of every waterspot I pass as an opportunity to swim. Whether it's in the ocean, lakes, rivers, or the pool, swimming has connected me with wonderful people and beautiful landscapes around the world. |
