| Introduction | My feet are marked with the places I have been My memories have been etched into my mind, But they fade with time. Time is the waves of the ocean Crashing upon the footprints in the sand that is my life, Slowly washing away with each new wave. But as time goes on, There are more footprints in the sand to be washed away, Away, away, away. I am a footprint in another’s life A footprint that will one day be washed away, But for now it shall remain. My hands have touched the hands and the lives of many Physically, emotionally, directly, indirectly. I may not know them, in this life or the next, But I have touched their life In some way, shape, or form And it may not matter to them, even the slightest But it matters to me. My footprints are in the sand Someday to be washed away But they are there for now, And that’s all that matters. |
