Introduction	I am a compulsive sailor! I started sailing in my early teens, in the Flying Ant class. In my late teens, I moved into 18ft Skiffs and won the World Championships six years running. This is something I am still immensely proud of. In 1983 I was part of Australia's successful America’s Cup challenge, and was also helmsman for the Cup’s defence in 1987. I was also helmsman in further challenges in 1991 and 1995. These were all amazing learning experiences. Competing in the Olympics is what drives me now - it's the box I've not yet ticked off. When I'm not training and sailing the things I enjoy most in life are the simple ones - spending time with my wife and three daughters.
