Introduction | I started riding bicycles in 1970, and I've been repairing them since '79. Over the years I've been lucky enough to have worked in some very cool bike shops, and have learned and continue to learn from some of the best mechanics in the country. A great 9 year stint in Cuba Street at Cycle Services ended with it's closure in 2000, and I started my solo project Roadworks later that year. I have wrenched for BikeNZ Cycling Teams at the 2006 MTB Worlds, several Women's World Cup road races, and various International Tours and races in several countries. I was also very proud to have been mechanic for the Jazz Apples Women's Cycling Team. I started this blog to share some of my work, as well as to write about and post photos of things cycling...and sometimes not. Please take some time to browse the blog - there's a ton of action to peruse, including several posts on the period of cycling I raced in and was inspired by - the 70s and 80s. Any questions feel free to email me at oli@oli.co.nz. Please note that all photos can be clicked upon to bring up larger versions. |
