Why does the taste of pennies remind you of losing a tooth?
It doesn't, really, other than making me think of the taste of blood. But it does remind me of craving dirt when I was little. It also reminds me of a Choose Your Own Adventure book I read as a kid where the hero saved themselves in the desert by sucking on a penny to promote saliva production to keep his mouth hydrated.
