| Introduction | Having worked 25+ years in the worlds of church and religious education as well as religious and mainstream journalism,I have developed a wide range of interests. These include informed discussion and debate related to religion, politics, humor, news/media, books/reading, sports, music/performing arts, etc., etc. I live in Calgary, Canada, but have been institutionalized for a good portion of my life at various colleges, universities and, yes, churches. My doctoral dissertation in religious history addressed a particular aspect of Christian fundamentalism in North America. I've been married to Joyce, an occupational health nurse, for over 30 years and we have three mahhvelous children who are immersed at various grad schools studying business, schizophrenia and post-traumatic stress. The younger two have already served notice they one day intend to declare me legally insane. |
