| Introduction | I am a real estate broker licensed in TN and GA. The past few years have been very different in my life. My parents became ill a few years ago and they were in assisted living. My mother died March 6, 2010 at my home. It was a shock. Two weeks and two days later my husband died. My dad died December 21, 2011. I have a daughter and 2 grandsons. I started journaling when my mother first became sick. She had never been funny in my entire life and suddenly she was this funny person and I did not want to forget any of the things she said and did. I'm not saying that those years were happy years because they really were not. Even worse was after my mother died and then my husband, it seemed I had no will to live. I have learned that you need to grieve. People do it differently and I never thought that I would grieve for 2 years. One day I thought, they are not coming back and I am still alive. What do I do now? So now my journaling has changed. Maybe I can help someone along the way. |
