| Introduction | I had a desire to start this blog 3 years ago--last and only time I posted. Soo,, "My Distracted Life" couldn't be a better title! It's serving as my on-line journal..I've journaled on paper off and on since I was little. I find myself editing too much when I use pen and paper; for some reason, my typed thoughts seem to be more real. Lately I'm having so many triggers to write...a smell that reminds me of my Grandma, a quote from a different grandparent ringing in my head all the time...lots of great memories. And then there's the somewhat messiness of current day...my husband and I have been separated for 2 years, and are headed towards divorce at the end of the month. The entire experience has left me not able to think for myself. Advice and counseling from trusted Christians is so opposed to how my husband sees our situation. And then there's the fun twist of my husband's BP and BPD. Mixed in is a dose of Mom-guilt, and wondering if I'm doing a good job. This blog is my journey towards focus, goals, security--there is so much about my life that I love.; yet there is so much physical and mental clutter preventing me from experiencing it to its fullest. |
