| Introduction | A bit about the name...when I was a fourteen year-old punk, my parents had me put away in an institution for out-of-control teenagers. It was basically a nuthouse for the angry/sad children of rich parents...or at the very least parents with really good insurance. (Don't be too shocked. This was a parenting fad in the late 80's for a while until the larger mental health systems were investigated and shut down.) Anyway, after I got out I had to start seeing a psychiatrist and he told me I reminded him of Holden Caufield with a gun. He said that instead of standing in the rye catching children, I would wait in dark alleys and hack bad guys to pieces with my sword. Kind of like Batman with even worse rage issues. So, he came up with a superhero name just for me: Captain Ninja. Tell you what, though, I'd much rather beat up on the bad guys with the written word than a sword these days. Seems to have a more lasting impact and, hey, no jail time. |
| Interests | hand-to-hand combat, sarcasm, justice, did I mention sarcasm? |
| Favorite movies | Depends on my mood. The Forbidden Zone, The Empire Strikes Back, Bambi, Platoon |
| Favorite music | Anything that isn't made specifically to turn a dollar can turn my ear. If it's just to line someone's pockets, I can hear it and I want to turn it off. Any contemporary pop music would fit that bill. You know who would have made a super cool duet? Sinnead O'Connor and Johnny Cash. |
| Favorite books | The Stand, The Sun Also Rises, Bambi (book version), Platoon (book version), Everything I Ever Learned I Learned on Acid, Anarchist's New Low Cal Cookbook |
