IntroductionI'm generally positive, respectful, humourously twisted and always curious about folks and the world we live in.The last seven years, I've spent my winters living in La Ceiba, Honduras and feel like I've finally "come home" even if the language is difficult for me to learn. The rest of the year I live on 90 acres in the mountains and keep myself amused with gardening between frosts, a goofy golden lab dog and cooking for friends and family. My basic philosophy is that life is good, if you keep it simple! I'm a few years older now, a few more adventures in daily living under my belt and a few more episodes of tough times, but my philosophy remains the same... LIVE, LOVE, LEARN and LAUGH (even if it is through the tears at times) Blessed be to all!
InterestsJust about everything! Reading, writing, gardening, digital photography, children young & old, positive people in general, paganism & Mother Earth
Favorite moviesDon't really watch movies...
Favorite musicDidn't really pick up any new music or artists this past year. 2008 new artists were Jack Johnson "Sleep through the Static" and everything by Amy Winehouse: from one extreme to another!, Good old basic rock n roll, early jazz, swing/big bands, Canadian folk like Stan Rogers and am a "parrot head" thanks to Jimmy Buffett
Favorite books2009 new reads are old familiars like Margaret Laurence's "The Diviners" and Sue Kaufman's "Diary of a Mad Housewife". My latest read is "Downhill Chance" by Donna Morrissey, who will make you sound like a Newfoundland-er even if you've never been there! 2008 recent reads include Stephen King's "Dumas Key" and Alice Munroe's "View from Castle Rock" , Too many to list! Latest 2009 one's were "The Memory Keeper's Daughter" by Kim Edwards, "Cold Sassy Tree" by Olive Ann Burns, "Meridian" by Alice Walker and just finished "We the Living" by Ayn Rand
