Introduction As a musician/publicist/songwriter/poet/journalist/concert promoter/retail record store owner/label head, I've worn many hats in the music business over the years. As a music publicist I have worked projects for DL Media (1987-2009) and from my own Rolling Thunder PR (2008-2011). As frontline and team publicist I have planned, organized, and worked PR campaigns for new and catalog releases, live events, festivals, conferences, career PR guidance and industry oriented projects. I've been lucky to work on over 100 Grammy nominated and/or winning projects. In addition to working with A-list, legendary jazz and world music artists such as Dave Holland, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Charles Lloyd, Milton Nascimento, Dave Brubeck, Marian McPartland, McCoy Tyner, Roy Haynes, et al, I have also been front-line publicist for some of the greatest improvising musicians of the past two decades: Joe Lovano, Greg Osby, Jason Moran, Bill Charlap, Ravi Coltrane, Kurt Elling, David Murray and many, many others. I've worked projects for such non-jazz artists as Willie Nelson, Derek Trucks, Bruce Hornsby, JD Souther, ARU, Jazz Is Dead and many others.
Interests My 1st foray in to the biz was writing LP & concert reviews for my high school paper. I dove in head first to concert promotion at San Diego State University in the 70s booking music, literature and cultural events into venues from 50-3000 capacity with artists as diverse as Jean-Pierre Rampal, The Ramones, Bob Marley, Frank Zappa, Leonard Feather, The Kinks, Pete Seeger, Philip Levine, and Charles Mingus. In record production I have been credited with production work on albums by Rolling Stones saxist Tim Ries (feat. Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Ron Wood, Norah Jones, Sheryl Crow, Bill Frisell, John Scofield and more); releases by Marian McPartland (feat. Elvis Costello, Hornsby, Steely Dan, etc.), rock/jam/songwriter projects by BZB, Stackabones (feat. Howard Wales), Mad-Sweet Pangs, Butch Zito, Leslie Carey... As a musician/songwriter with over 400 original songs, I have released 15 releases under my own name or with my band PORCH CHOPS. I am a member of the Dylan cover band LOVE MINUS ZERO, folk rock/country duo SILVER MOON, American folk/rock/jamband SKELETON KEY BAND, classic country group THE FAR-OUTLAWS, and the classic rock quartet THE RINGERS. I've done session and/or live work as a sideman or playing guitar/harmonica/etc. and/or as a vocalist in numerous groups on both coasts. Booking and concert promotion in CA and DE/PA since 1975 for my own bands and outside concerts as well. As a poet, I've been published in numerous poetry zines as well as archiving much of my output at poetryfromtheporch.blogspot.com I've written music journalism over the years for Jazziz Magazine, American Book Review, Dupree's Diamond News as well as penning liner notes, press releases and bios for various artists and labels. Many of my journalistic forays including the blog SCHLOCK, THE MONKEY appear under the pen name of Vic Bradley. I was the co-owner of Rolling Thunder Records, a brick-and-mortar retail store in Wilmington, DE from 1987-1997.

Try making up the rules to a game where you tie knots in a yo-yo string just to see if you can get them out:

1.) buy a yo-yo 2.) tie 27 knots in the yo-yo string. 3.) Leave it on a cafeteria table 4.) a) Either stay and watch and detail reactions in a spiral notebook or b) get a life
