IntroductionErin was re-elected to Thompson City Council this past October. She is excited to serve the residents of Thompson and will work to position our City as one of the most progressive, innovative and inclusive communities in Canada. She believes that we need to be the change we want to see in the world, and actively seeks to live out that philosophy daily. Erin welcomes conversation and input from residents and will always make time to chat. Erin was first elected in a city-wide by-election in December 2009 and soon became one of five Manitoban representatives to serve on the FCM National Board of Directors. She also sits on many Committees of Council and External Stakeholder Boards. Erin was raised in Thompson, graduated from R.D. Parker Collegiate and received her B.A. Hons in political studies from the University of Manitoba. Erin also participated in the Manitoba Legislative Internship Program working for the Government Caucus. Erin is currently a researcher in the Aboriginal Relations Division of Manitoba Hydro, lives with her fiancé and their two cats, plays trombone in the community band and wanders into a local yoga class whenever she’s able to find a free moment.
