| Introduction | I am a medically retired Deputy Sheriff seeking opportunities that utilize my vast amount of law enforcement experience and exceptional interviewing skills. Progressive responsibilities within my career as a deputy has centered on my extraordinary ability to communicate with people from all different types of backgrounds to gain truthful information and/or compliance. My career was highlighted by a confession that I gained from an individual involved in a murder that is still listed as a “cold case”. I consider my empathy skills a gift that was given to me many years ago while working with youth gangs in the 1990s and I have used this to my advantage throughout my career. Within the interviews I conduct, I offer real life advice to the individual in a particular way that continues the bond of rapport which will be indispensible if I need to question the person again. This skill and my extensive experience enables me to successfully interview people that are often difficult because of their hatred of law enforcement, drug addiction, anger management issues, uneasiness, fear, or even mental illness. |
