| Introduction | I’ve been a Fibromyalgia survivor for many years. An auto-immune illness that causes people trying to survive their own immune system attacking them to have “flu like” systems each and every day. Such as: headaches,swollen glands, low grade fevers, body aches, severe pain to the muscles and joints, chills, and fatigue. It has been proven that those with fibromyalgia never fall into a "REM" state of sleep, so this illness can be debilitating and has been linked to having depression and anxiety as well. Having a positive attitude is 50% of the battle for survivors of fibromyalgia. You have to assess how to handle it on a day-to-day basis as every day can bring a different set of symptoms. I have enjoyed reading about Jen and her life with CP. Even though disabilities may not be the same, they still have similar characteristics. No, it is not easy living with a disability by normal standards. It would be easy to say “Why me?” and leave it at that. However, it is great to hear of those who don’t like Jen that keep pushing the envelope for the best quality of life they can achieve. You Go Girl! And keep that positive push alive and growing in your determined heart. |

| Favorite Music | I usually get excited about a song and then find the artist. Favorites are: Il Divo, Dream Catchers, Celtic Women, Sara Brightman, Trisha Yearwood, Tony Bennett, too many to list. |
| Favorite Books | I enjoy all of Max Lucado's books. In a book called "Surviving Depression" There is a quote from Mother Theresa that I would love to share: People are often Unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered:forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives:be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies:succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;build anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;give the world the best you've got anyway.
