| Introduction | I'm a media geek. When I'm interested in something, I go full tilt. I've seen hundreds of movies, read hundreds of books, watched more TV than I can even quantify. I analyze stories, cross-reference an artist's works, and discuss them with other like-interested people. If I liked a movie, game, or album, I learn why, and expand my library accordingly. On the other hand, I'm a man. I like beef and potatoes, I drink beer, and I enjoy women in skimpy outfits. I'm an everyman, a real person, and that's why pompous, prudish critics piss me off. If you hate specific genres, just don't rate those movies. Don't say "Hot Tub Time Machine" was shit because you personally hate wacky comedies. If you hate the local sports teams, don't write the local sports column. So that's where we stand. I'm here to critique things for everyone. Simple yet thorough, informative but not tedious. If I have a bias, I'll say so, that way, you can use this information as you want. I know this won't be considered gospel by anyone, I just hate seeing anyone go blindly into an entertainment or lifestyle decision. |
