Introduction | I am a country girl, always preferring to live in small towns or outlying areas. I love the mountains and had hoped to relocate there after my retirement. However, retirement came suddenly, as did the downturn in the economy, so I am continuing to live in Washington. Fortunately, Washington is a charming small southern town brimming with character, and characters. It's rich history makes for a historian's dream. After 20 yrs I am almost no longer an outsider. I lack the financial wealth to move in the highest social circles, but I do enjoy close friendships and comradeship. Unfortunately, I arrived here in a state of singleness and remain so. It does seem that Bubba, with his shotgun hanging in the back of his pickup truck, is intimidated to date the local librarian. Oh well, his loss. Life is good and simple. I'm free to do as much or as little as I wish. I am still hopeful that someday Prince Charming will ride up to my front door without falling off his steed. He will sweep me away to his mountain castle where we will live happily ever after, me with my spinning wheel and yarns and he with whatever makes him happy. Hay, you can't take away a girl's dreams. |

You can whistle and steam can whistle, so why do you sing in the shower?
You are operating under the false assumption that I can whistle. Seeing that I cannot whistle, I am compensated by being able to sing. :-o
