Introduction The diagnosis was stage 3 infiltrating ductal carcinoma with positive estrogen/progesterone receptors and Her2 negative. The other breast had an invasive nodule. I opted for bilateral mastectomy because cancer was found in both breasts. No reconstruction. I had chemo first which shrunk the tumor from 6cm to 2cm. They took out 7 lymph nodes under one arm and 4 were cancerous. The other arm's lymph nodes were clean. I had radiation for 6 weeks.
